Students Share How School Libraries Are Empowering!

It is always important to look for ways to share what is happening in our library and how school libraries empower students.  This is important advocacy within our library, building and community.

Well, I want to share an idea for doing just that!
When I was at a Madison-Oneida BOCES event last spring, they were celebrating a student calendar they had produced.

Students in several schools created library pictures.  They voted on each others and the winners made up this amazing calendar.  The winners were even at the BOCES events with their parents on that day.

Just look at a few of the students creations...
Every one was different and very inspiring.

So as you kick off another school year, think about using this idea within your own library and community.  It can be a way to highlight your library program and the ways students are engaged through your library program.

I can't wait to see what you and your students create to tell your library story too.
