One of my favorite online educational communities is edWeb.net!
There is something for everyone here no matter what you teach and what you are passionate about.
The conversations are ongoing, global and transformative to us as educators and people.
There is a new community on edWeb,net that you don't want to miss!
It is called edGlobal which is a community focusing on sharing education ideas around the world.edGlobal will host free edWeb webinars which encourage global collaboration and discussions focused around the knowledge, understanding and peace among students across the globe.
This amazing global community is sponsored by Generation Global.
Please watch this short video to find out more about Generation Global.
In the weeks to come, I will be sharing more about Generation Global and the difference it can make in the lives of your students and school communities.
As the site states,
With Generation Global, you can give your students the skills and experience to flourish in a interconnected and complex world. It is designed for 12-17 year olds and is active in more than 20 countries around the world.
For now, I am excited to share the first edGlobal webinar coming up Monday, October 10, 2016 at 4:00-5:00pm EST.
It's called Fostering Understanding, Empathy and Dialogue in Our Students and is designed for middle and high school educators of all subjects...especially those in the history, civics, social studies and ELA fields.
You can read all about the webinar here.
To register, all you have to do is visit this page. You will be sent the information you need to watch the live session or the recording within 24 hours of the event.
A CE certificate will also be emailed to you. This is a FREE program from edWeb.net.
This is an important conversation for all of us to be part of and one that our students want to be included in as well.
Please join edGlobal as we start a conversation that will bring change, empathy and amazing dialogue to your classroom and students this year....and to you, as an educator too.
You can join here.
And follow edWeb on Twitter @edwebnet to be part of the ongoing conversation taking place throughout all of the communities.
