Pokemon GO has hit our family, just like millions of people all around the world.
Hagan,
Eric and...
Evan have enjoyed learning how to play Pokemon GO in areas around our homes and places as we travel this summer in Chicago, Alabama, Texas and Florida. It has been interesting to see the excitement of this global game first hand and this is what a lot of us will be hearing from our students as we go back to school this fall.
Last week I found something very fun from our friends at Vidcode.
Vidcode, a video coding platform designed with girls in mind that is not only self-expressive, but paired with a hobby girls love...creating and sharing videos.
And of course Vidcode is loved by all students!
I used Vidcode last year for the first time during Hour of Code and fell in love with the different projects our young people can create on their website.
When I saw this email...Do you love Pokemon GO? Build your own!...I knew I would love this Vidcode project! And I couldn't wait to show Hagan, who built his own too.
You can Make Your Own Pokemon Augmented Reality Project here.
It will be helpful to share this awesome tutorial, AR Pokemon Game Maker, with your students. You just click through all 17 steps on the left hand side.
This tutorial was helpful for Hagan and I to follow as we worked through the steps in creating our Augmented Reality PokemonGO Projects and other things in Vidcode too.
It will be fun and helpful for your students to see a few projects that the in-house team of interns at Vidcode created.
Check these out....
I can't wait to see what all of you create with Vidcode and how you embrace Pokemon GO in your libraries and schools.
I added this idea and lots of others to the PokemonGO in Library and Education Pinterest Board too.
