It’s coming down to the wire, but there is still time to enter the Follett Challenge. And as a judge, I have definitely seen the value and benefit of those who enter…even if they don’t win.
This is your opportunity to make your voice heard!
As librarians and educators, we are always innovating and coming up with new ways to make our students successful. But we are not always sharing those successes with each other, our colleagues, or our community.
This is your chance to do just that!
The video component of the Follett Challenge was created as a soapbox for you to stand upon and let people know what you are doing. This is especially important at a time when librarians’ jobs are still being put on the chopping block.
Plus, the online questionnaire is your opportunity to take a hard look at your program and how it really is addressing critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration. It may help you uncover new ways to make your program stronger!
Perhaps you’re worried your program isn’t innovative enough or doesn’t use enough technology… Well, I’m here to tell you – as a Follett Challenge judge – THAT. DOESN’T. MATTER.
It is about influencing tomorrow’s leaders. Just take a look at last year’s winners, as well as all the stories from previous winners.
To make it even easier for you to tell your story, we have tons of resources for you. Check out this Collection to get your started, as well as these resources for promoting your video.
I cannot stress enough the value of taking the Follett Challenge.
Some think the word Challenge comes from the submission process. But I’m here to tell you the word comes from overcoming your fear of failure.
Give your students a lesson in perseverance and enter today.
You can’t win if you don’t enter.
