Each year, we observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
I have created a new choice board for our students at Van Meter to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at school and even at home with their families. This will be part of the September and October monthly choice board too.
Our choice board contains articles from PebbleGo about Spain, Mexico and places in the Caribbean, and Central and South America. It also includes a Capstone eBook called Immigrant from Mexico and Central America that I found and linked using Capstone Connect.
After I made this one, I made a choice board for all of you. I swapped out the Hispanic Heritage Month article from Fact Monster and three videos creating Hispanic themed art from Art for Kids Hub.
You will find the Let's Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Choice Board here. This is the published link to share with your students. If you would like to make your own changes and add things from your library collection, you can make a copy of this one here.
Also, if you would like to use the template with the PebbleGo articles, you will find it here to make a copy. Just remember that in PebbleGo, you will find the link attached to each article. Copy that link and add it to the images in the Google Slide (choice board).
I added the Let's Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Choice Board to the September Choice Board that I shared earlier this week. You will find the links to this one here in this blog post.
Have fun learning, creating and celebrating for Hispanic Heritage Month with your students, teachers and school community too, friends.
