The "Technical Difficulties" Library Club Kicks Off A New Year!

We had a little extra excitement in the library this week!

The Van Meter "Technical Difficulties" Library Club kicked off a new year and are planning for a great one!   We had a great variety of ages.....kindergarten through 4th grade.

Our group will be bigger next week as several students had plans on this day....Our football team had its first playoff game that night.
To get more to come and join the "Technical Difficulties" they got right to work and created several posters to put up around the school....and even one in the public library downtown.
I love the signs that Eve, Charli, and their friends created.  They really wanted to bring more people in and spread the word about the work they are doing.
At the end of our meeting we Skyped with my friend Shawna Ford in Texas and her student library group.

The two groups had a wonderful time collaborating and brainstorming projects to do together. We are going to start out by connecting all of them on Edmodo this next week.
They were definitely excited!  It is inspiring to me to see how their relationships will grow and evolve within both schools and through friendships with each other.
So if you haven't already, please sign up and join us on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm.

If you want to know more about our group, please read this Smore.

Through all of the connections we have made over the last year or so, this will bring creativity, collaborating, and connecting to our students. I can't wait to see what they take on first....It will a great year!
