It's Episode 6 of the Capstone Virtual Book Club! You Will LOVE "Yasmin the Librarian" With My Special Guest, Saadia Faruqi.

 

Today, I had the honor of kicking off a new year of the Capstone Virtual Book Club with my friend and author, Saadia Faruqi.  She is the amazing author behind the Yasmin series from Capstone. 

I have been looking forward to this episode so much! The Yasmin books are such favorites in our library and all readers love her books. 

As shared on the Capstone site, 

Yasmin is a spirited second-grader who's always on the lookout for those "aha" moments to help her solve life's little problems. Taking inspiration from her surroundings and her big imagination, she boldly faces any situation, assuming her imagination doesn't get too big, of course! A creative thinker and curious explorer, Yasmin and her multi-generational Pakistani American family will delight and inspire readers.

In January, the four books above joined twelve others in the Yasmin series. 

I love every Yasmin book, but Yasmin the Librarian definitely is my favorite. 

I loved listening to Saadia read Yasmin the Librarian, and hearing her share the inspiration behind her special book series and how she become an author.
