My Distance Learning Diary....A Special New Series From Newsela

One thing I have been doing everyday is writing about this time and the experiences we are having as a family and those I am having as a teacher and librarian.  So, when my friends at Newsela asked me to be part of their new series, Distance Learning Diaries, I was really excited to share what what a typical week looks like in our home and within the different jobs that I do.
As shared by Newsela,

In our new series, Distance Learning Diaries, we are asking educators, school leaders and edtech experts to write about a “week-in-the-life” of their distance learning routines. These authors will generously share daily reflections on their challenges and successes with remote teaching, plus a few fun at-home anecdotes. Our first “Distance Learning Diary” is from Future Ready Librarian and Innovation Director of Instructional Technology and Library Media Shannon McClintock Miller.
You will find my Distance Learning Diary here.

I hope you enjoy reading what we have been up to at our home in West Des Moines, Iowa; how it looks for our son, Hagan, as a freshman learning remotely; what my job as a teacher librarian look like; and how I have been helping and collaborating with other librarians and educators around the world in my roles with Future Ready Librarians, Follett, Capstone, Buncee and others.
And to get to the detailed view like this....
...of each day, you can go here.

Newsela would love to feature others so if you are interested, please let me know so I can pass your name onto them.
You can also find a blank Distance Learning Diaries template here to create and fill out your own.

I am really honored they asked me to share my week.  It was not only rewarding to share, but it was very therapeutic for me to have a place to share everyday.

I hope you are having a wonderful and healthy week, friends.
