A Choice Board For Your Students To Explore The 25 NEW PebbleGo Articles Released This Week!

With this weeks NEW PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next release, I wanted to create a special place for our students to go and explore the 25 new articles.  You will find the blog post with all of the new articles here.

First, I put together a choice board for the NEW 25 PebbleGo articles.
I create the choice board in Google Slides.  You can make a copy of it here.  Once you have a copy, just add your own links from PebbleGo.
To share the choice board with your students, just to to Share and Publish to web.
This will give you a link to share with the students.  When they click on that link, it will take them straight to the published choice board.

I am creating one for the 26 NEW PebbleGo Next articles too. I will share that choice board next, friends.

The NEW November PebbleGo & PebbleGo Monthly Holiday Calendar Is Here! Turn It Into An Interactive Research Choice Board For Your Students & Teachers!

The NEW November 2024 PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next Monthly Holiday Calendar that our friends at Capstone create for us each month is here!

In this post, I share more about the PebbleGo Monthly Calendars.
I love making paper copies of these to share with our teachers and kids.
They hang them up in their classrooms and hang them in our library too. I also share them online through social media and as an image in Google Classroom or Seesaw.
The teachers even use the PebbleGo Calendars for mini research opportunities throughout each week. The students use PebbleGo Create to share what they learn throughout the month with the calendars.
Last year, when I was sharing the calendars with teachers and students, I thought....Hey, this would be really fun in a choice board!
So, I opened up a Google Slide, uploaded the PebbleGo November 2024 Holidays Calendar, and added a little chalk board with text over the top.
Then I went through the calendar and found every special day in PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next.
For example, Dia de los Muertos is on November 1, so they have the Day of the Dead PebbleGo article featured. I went to PebbleGo and found the article about Day of the Dead in PebbleGo.
I grabbed the link, as shown in the image above.

I took that link and added a linked text box around each special date.

Now, when the kids click on a holiday, it will take them directly to that PebbleGo article.

If you want to use the template to create your own, you will find the Google Slide here to make a copy and add links to the PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next articles.

And to make it a choice board, just Publish to the web, as shown in this image above.
You will share that Published Link with your students.

I love sharing these interactive PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next Holiday Calendars with our students and teachers. They love learning all about these special days that are highlighted each month too.

I am excited to have the November 2024 PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next ready to go for the month. I hope you will find ways to use it with your students and teachers this month, and all throughout the school year too.

Don't miss your chance to make this holiday season a little extra jolly for your entire school community.

A New Follett Content Author Takeover With Lisa Fipps As She Talks About The Global Read Aloud 2024 Book, And Then, Boom!

This years middle/upper elementary book for The Global Read Aloud is And Then, Boom! by the amazing author, Lisa Fipps.

Our classes are participating in The Global Read Aloud. I was happy to see that it would be Lisa's book they are reading.
This week, I was excited to see that the new Follett Content Author Takeover is Lisa talking about And Then, Boom!  I can't wait to share it with our readers.
I put the book cover, Author Takeover video, and the link to The Global Read Aloud on this choice board. That will make it easy to share with our students as they learn more about this special reading event, and about the book they are reading.

PebbleGo Go Vote For The Election Season Is Filled With Lots Of Great Ideas and Resources....And Check Out This PebbleGo Choice Board Too!

It's election time and our friends at Capstone have created a special place for us called PebbleGo Vote
As shared on PebbleGo Vote,

PebbleGo Vote is a useful election-season resource for empowering students to research presidential candidates, learn about democracy, and build habits to become informed and active participants in democracy! Students can exercise what they've learned by using the paper ballots below to cast votes in their own classroom election.

Teaching K-5 students to vote helps build future citizens that understand the value of their voice in shaping their own community. Early exposure to voting fosters a sense of responsibility and empowers children to engage in civic activities.
Let me show you around PebbleGo Vote.
Check out the paper ballots...
...that can be printed in color or black and white.
There are lots of Lesson Plans and Activities for PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next. Look at a few of my favorite...
The PebbleGo Vote posters and images are awesome!
These will be perfect to hang up at our school and in the library as we vote.

There are different sizes and will be great to use online too.
And I LOVE the I Voted! stickers and PebbleGo Vote Coloring Sheets under Other Downloadables.
You can print the stickers on the Avery 22807 labels. These will be really great to use on election day.

And the PebbleGo Vote coloring sheets will be a fun activity on election day too.
I am so excited to share PebbleGo Vote with our teachers and students next week. I also created a choice board with the PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next articles, plus the Voting in Elections Capstone Interactive eBook.

You can make a copy of the choice board here. After you make a copy, add your own PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next links, and even add a link to Voting in Elections that you can get here.

Go to PebbleGo Vote at pebblego.com/vote for all of these resources to use with your school community too.
