"If I Were A Kid"....A Special New Historical Series From Scholastic!

I have a special new series to share from Scholastic blending together nonfiction and fiction.

It is called If I Were A Kid and takes our young readers on adventures through the most important moments in U.S. history through the eyes of children in that time period.
There are four books in this series including If I Were A Kid On The Oregon Trail,
If You Were A Kid During The American Revolution,
If You Were A Kid In The Thirteen Colonies and...
If You Were A Kid During The Civil War.
I love how these stories follow two characters through their historical journeys bringing us into the stories through...
lively and engaging illustrations. Through the page, nonfiction and fiction is tied together by...
text boxes which include interesting facts, information and even...
pictures of important documents and photographs from these historical events.
Each book also includes a map, timeline and glossary in the back of the book.
On Scholastic's Facts for Now site, you will also find wonderful information about each book which will be the perfect partnership for the library and classroom.
Author Josh Gregory and illustrator Lluis Farre have done a terrific job with these four books!  I know you and your readers will love them too!
