Join The Free Zoom With "The Weather Detectives" and Tumberocity On July 14th...Details Here, Friends!

The summer is the perfect time for families, teachers and librarians to join a fun Zoom with authors, illustrators and others.  I have a special one to share with all of you that is coming up on July 14, 2021 at 4:00pm CST.

As shared by our friends from Tumbleocity...

Join us as we celebrate the launching of Michael Erb’s new book
The Weather Detectives. You will learn a little about thirteen-year-old Henry Alabaster as he he contends with a belligerent sea captain, stormy seas and confronts more mystery than he can shake a stick at.

Author Michael Erb will share:
  • fascinating weather history (For instance, did you know that someone once tried to predict the weather using living leeches?)
  • cool weather photos
  • & fun facts
You will:
  • learn how to estimate the distance to lightning
  • look for shapes in clouds
  • find out about weather activities you can try at home

Sign up, grab your raincoat….and bring all your weather related questions…..and help us celebrate!

FREE ZOOM On 7/14 at 5:00 PM EDT. FOR AGES 9 to 12 - everyone welcome.

Register: by July 12th HERE

I shared this with our families at Van Meter and can't wait to tune in myself to learn more about weather and Michael's new book, The Weather Detectives.  Hope to see you there.

And learn about more programs from Tumberocity here.  These are the perfect tie in for our STEAM projects and curriculum.
