Padlet Has Created Something New For Educators....Padlet Backpack! Wait Until You See The New Themes!

Padlet is one of my favorite digital tools.  It is one that I use every week for so many different things.

Tonight as I created one for a workshop I am doing next month I was happy to see something new has come to Padlet.  It is called Padlet Backpack....and it was created to be a wonderful solution just for schools.

It is still the Padlet that we already loved, but they have now added several different things for privacy and control for our school needs.

 I love what is coming too....Especially the Student Reports and Portfolios, along with Google Apps, Edmodo and LMS Integration.  

Padlet is offering all of us a free trial for 30 days.

I was so excited to sign up for mine tonight.  Padlet does an amazing job at walking you through Padlet Backpack.

One of the biggest things that makes Padlet Backpack stand out is the ability to Add Collaborators to your backpack.  They can be added as Students or Teachers. 

Within the Dashboard, there are many things you can do to enhance the use of Padlet including moderating Padlet online activity at your school; viewing statistics; seeing attachments being made to the Padlets; and so much more.

But my FAVORITE PART of the new Padlet......We can now pick from several different Themes, including....

And take a look at how much your Padlet changes when you change the Theme....

I used the Padlet I created tonight to see how changing the Theme and Background can change the look and really make a difference.  

I can't wait to see all of the fun we will have personalizing and making each one of our Padlet's extra special.

All of the different Background, Themes, and Layouts can be found by clicking on different buttons within the tool bar on the right hand side.

One last thing I want to mention is the new Privacy within Padlet Backpack.

When you create a Padlet, they are automatically moved to your school.  You must go to Privacy and adjust the Visibility to fit the needs of your students and classroom.
