The Six Triple Eight Story As Told In Capstone's Graphic Novel, The Courageous Six Triple Eight, The All-Black Female Battalion Of World War II. Find It Here, Friends.

Over the holidays, my family and I watched the new Netflix movie,
The Six Triple Eight.

You can learn more about the movie here.
When I went back to school this week, I couldn't wait to find the graphic novel, The Courageous Siz Triple Eight, The All-Black Female Battalion of World War II, that our friends at Capstone created sharing the story of this amazing group of women.

As shared online,

The story of the first all-Black battalion in the Women’s Army Corps?—?the Six Triple Eight?—?and its leader, Major Charity Adams, will teach kids about these women who bravely confronted the racism and sexism they experienced while creating a system to ensure that millions of letters and packages got to soldiers fighting in Europe during World War II.

You can find this book, and the other in the series, Women Warriors of World War II, here on Titlewave®.

I am excited to share this with our students this month, and this will be a special highlight during Women's History Month in March too.
