Create An Indoor Recess Choice Board For Your Students!

This week I had a special request from my colleague and friend, Jenny Stephens, one of our 4th grade teachers at Van Meter.

Jenny wrote,

With indoor recess, our kids are looking for things to do on their Chromebooks during this time. We were brainstorming and came up with an idea. Is there a way to have an inside recess choice board? My boys said they'd even be on a committee to help you with ideas and games to add.

What do you think?

I loved this idea and wrote back to her saying I could come meet with the boys the next day.

I sat down with them to hear what they thought would be fun to have the Indoor Recess Choice Board. They wanted games and places to create, and also thought about others who love music, art and even reading.

I came up with a choice board that included things that anyone can login to, and also things we have at Van Meter like Adobe Express, Book Creator, PebbleGo Create, StoryboardThat, and of course all of the Capstone Interactive eBooks our students love to read.

I made a copy of this for all of you to use and change up for your kids.  It doesn't have to be just for indoor recess. It can be used in so many ways like at the beginning or end of the day, or even during holidays or throughout the summer months.
And remember, when you are ready to share it with your students,  go to File, Share and Publish to web.
You will share that link with your students.
