My friend and colleague, Tracy Ferguson, does the coolest X-STREAM Stem Lessons with her 2nd graders each week. I always love going into her classroom to see what the kids are working on for the week.
And the kids LOVE them! They are always proud and excited to show what they have created.
Since we have been out of school over the last month, Tracy has put together a new one each week to share with her students, and all of our students at Van Meter, so they can keep doing them at home too.

She started this Google Document for the STREAM lessons she shares each Sunday.
Here is what Tracy has to say about what she has created....
X-STREAM Sunday STEM lessons are a fun way to send activities out to our students while at home.
I read aloud a featured picture book and then explain the STREAM lesson using FlipGrid each Sunday. All materials that would be needed for the challenges can easily be found at home.
Once a student has completed their challenge, they go on the Flipgrid link to explain what they made. Students can view and reply to each other’s FlipGrid responses.
Each lesson can easily be found on one Google Document that is linked on our districts Continuous Learning site.
This has been one of my favorite virtual learning activities for my students! Their creativity and problem solving skills are shining through each of these X-STREAM Sunday STEM activities!
So far, she has created five and you will find the X-STREAM Sunday STEM Lessons for the Week Google Document here. Tracy will continue to add these amazing challenges each week.
Thank you friend for creating and sharing these with all of us!

Hi Shannon! Thanks so much for sharing this. Are the links to the online read-alouds not available?
