One of my favorite places to learn is with Follett for the amazing webinars they host.
On January 17, 2018 at 3:30pm CST, they are kicking off the New Year with a very special webinar, Worldwide Literacy Success: The Key Role of Libraries in English National Curriculum.
I am very excited about the presenters, Anna Makepeace and Caroline Gregory, who have a wealth of information to share about working with schools and libraries around the world.
In the Follett Community post about this webinar it states,
Join us as we explore the vital role libraries can play in all English National Curriculum schools around the globe.
Collaboration between the library and the classroom has proven a measurable impact: students achieve higher levels of literacy, reading, learning, problem-solving and information and communication technology skills. We'll share ideas on how educators can make libraries the heart of their school, thus aiding academic attainment across all subjects and key stages.
During the webinar, our presenters, Caroline and Anna, will discuss:
- Experiences of libraries and the challenges international educators face.
- The Central role libraries play in student attainment across all subjects.
- How to make your library a successful hub for all learning outcomes.
- How Follett can support you with your library goals.
Who Should Attend this Webinar?
- Librarians
- Curriculum Coordinators
- Heads of Subject Departments
- Heads of Schools
- School Owners
You can register for this free webinar here.
And don't worry if you can't attend! It will be recorded and share.
I can't wait for the webinar. We are going to learn so much about international schools, libraries and the roles librarians take within their school and the lives of their students.
