I have always loved watching the Olympics, especially the Winter Olympics with the ice skating and skiing and of course, the bobsleigh!
With the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics right around the corner on February 9-25, we are getting ready to follow along and celebrate the accomplishments of these amazing athletes from around the world.
Not only is the main PyeongChang 2018 website awesome to use, there are lot of other ways to bring the Winter Olympics to your school community.
For example, one of my favorite projects we did focusing on the 2014 Winter Olympics was the 3D Project Olympics where our 5th graders research and designed their very own new Olympic symbol with 3D tools and the printer.
You can read all about this project on the post, "Project 3D Olympics"......5th Graders Research Olympics and Create New Symbols With The Makerbot 3D Printer here.
In the 2018 Winter Olympics Collection by Destiny I created, you will find posts about this project and lots of other special resources, projects, books, articles in Capstone's PebbleGo, lesson ideas and more.
Please share this public Collection with your students, teachers and others. And if you'd like to be a collaborator on this Collection, I would love to have you.
I can't wait to watch the Olympics this year. And I can't wait to see how you bring the Olympics to your students and community too.
