On April 7, 2020 I am looking forward to being part of a special double feature webinar with Follett Community focused on how we, as teacher librarians, can support teachers and families during school closures.
First, at 2:00pm CST, my friend and colleague Tracy Ferguson and I will be sharing How Your Librarian Can Support Teachers and Families During School Closures.
As shared in Follett Community, These are unprecedented times. Educators and families are grappling to do their best to keep children engaged and progressing academically. School closures, shelter in place orders and teaching remote are enormous adjustments for teachers, students and parents. Join Shannon McClintock Miller and Tracy Ferguson to hear how your school librarian is practically designed for times such as these. Get tips you need now, from digital learning to curation, and research and resources.
Second, at 2:30pm CST, I will be sharing Supporting Librarians During School Closures: Find the Help You Need For Your School and Yourself.
Also shared in Follett Community, During this time of uncertainty, everyone needs support to do the best job possible and help students continue to learn. While librarians are often called upon to support others in their school or district, they too need support. Hear from Shannon McClintock Miller as she explores ways the librarian can ensure they’re being as useful as possible but also getting the support they need.
You can register for both of these webinars here.
We hope to see you there, friends.
