As I was looking through Twitter yesterday, I was very excited to see this tweet from our friends at GeoGuessr.
We can now explore the world with GeoGuessr with an iPad and iPhone using the new app.
What fun news this is for our learners....and for all of us to play the best geography game online anywhere.
As we drove back to Iowa today, Eric and I decided to download the app and try it out.
You can Explore the World by playing either as a Single Player or Pass & Play, which lets you play it with friends by using the app on one device.
Once you have selected how you want to explore, it shows you the counties and cities around the world that you can unlock. Everyone starts out with The World and can then unlock other countries.
You can also set up Geoguessr to play your own customized games by choosing the time limit, locations and number of rounds which allows you to....play and compete with your friends.
As we tried out GeoGuessr on my iPhone, it was very easy and just like playing on my laptop. After given a guess, you touch that place on the Google Map. It works through a round and gives you point at the end.
This is going to be great fun with Hagan over our holiday break as we do a little traveling this week to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas. You can share it with your students and family too.
One easy way to do that is by handing out these little cards with the QR code which takes you directly to the GeoGuessr app in iTunes.
Here is one for the holiday season and one for...
anytime of the year.
With this free app, we are giving our students something fun to do by themselves or with friends while learning geography, Google Map and lots of wonderful new places around the world.
