I am having so much fun dreaming up lots of ways to celebrate a love of reading with FigJam! It's the perfect tool for teacher librarians for so many reasons, like I shared in this blog post.
In this post, I will share 3 examples of how to celebrate a love of reading with FigJam. You will be able to bring these ideas and activities to your readers this week too. I found these all in the
1. Book Review Cards are a fantastic activity before a class visit to the library, for a quick assessment on independent reading, or simply to share book recommendations and build a positive culture around reading.
2. Book Chats Template is used to showcase different books available for readers, get kids excited to read, and grow the collaborative reading culture in your classroom and/or school site.
Use this template to create mini "book previews" and encourage readers to review/give feedback on the books after reading.
I just love how so many different elements can be included in the Book Chats templates.
3. Race to 100 Books Reading Challenge will challenge your class to read 100 books and track them throughout the year!
If you would like for your students to track their reading individually, simply duplicate the sections for each student.
These three ideas are just a start on how you can use FigJam to celebrate a love of reading with your students.
