Snowmen Stories Come to Life: A 2nd Grade Winter Project with Book Creator!

I have a special winter Book Creator project our 2nd graders created to share with you!

My colleague and friend, Emily Webster, one of our 2nd grade teachers, reached out to me before the holiday and asked if I would do a fun project using Book Creator with her class.

Emily read Snowmen at Night to her students, and had them write stories....
...about what they would do if they were a snowman at night.
When we told them they would be creating their snowman stories using Book Creator, the 2nd graders were so excited.

I went over how they would type their story in Book Creator.
They could add their voice reading the story too.
For their illustrations, we introduced the Adobe AI Image Generator included in the Apps section of Book Creator.

Read more about the AI Image Generator addition to Book Creator here.
We learned about writing a descriptive prompt to...
...generate an image for their snowman story.
They loved creating images for their stories...
..and did an amazing job being descriptive and creative.
It was so fun to see what they created using Book Creator.
They loved using other Book Creator features including the camera to add their picture, fonts and highlights,
icons, backgrounds, and this little friend even took a picture with her Chromebook of her story and uploaded it to Book Creator.
When they were finished, I created a book called What Do Our Snowmen Do At Night, added a cover, and copied all of their stories into this one.
To share it with their families, I published the book.  When you publish a book in Book Creator, it generated a QR code and gives you a link.  I took the QR code and put it on the front cover and created a bit.ly with the link.

We copied the front book cover so each student has a copy to share with their families and show how their snowmen stories came to life using Book Creator.

Get Book Creator today, friends. This is the perfect project to kick off the winter season when we go back after the holidays.
