We Can All Join Weekly LIVE Skype In The Classroom Events At School and Virtually This Year

Our friends at Skype in the Classroom have brought together something very special for all of us this year.

Every week, they are hosting LIVE Skype in the Classroom Events for all of us to join at school or at home virtually.
We can tune in every Wednesday at 10:00am PST (12:00pm CST) for a brand new learning adventure with our friends at Skype in the Classroom.  The events are about 30 minutes in length and will keep all learners engaged and excited.

A few coming up are...
August 26 at Hudson Bay learning about polar bears and beluga whales,
September 2 learning about the migration of the monarchs,
September 16 as we celebrate Dot Day with Peter H. Reynolds,
September 23 as we Draw with the Minecraft Design Team and...
They have also created a place for us to find, watch and share the previous webinars.  There are over 20 amazing events from authors like Cressida Cowell, scientist Dr. Jane Goodall,
 Microsoft Engineers, archeologists,
 zoos, underwater adventures,
National Parks, dinosaurs and more.
And don't forget about all of the other amazing resources Skype in the Classroom provides to all of us on their site including places to find Classroom and Mystery Skype, Collaborative Projects, Themed Collections and more.

You will find the Skype in the Classroom site here where everyone can join this special global community for free.
You will find Skype in the Classroom in the Virtual Field Trips For Anywhere Learning Collection by Destiny...
here, where you can use or make a copy to add additional items for your school community too.

The connections we have made and knowledge we have gained through Skype in the Classroom over the years has made such a difference in the lives of our students and teachers at Van Meter School.  I can't wait to see where it takes us this year too.
