Check Out The Special NEW SEL Infographic, Posters, Stickers, Notecards, Activities, Books, Information and More From Our Friends At Capstone

SEL, social and emotional learning, is one of the most important ways we, as teachers and librarians, can support our students and families. We can help them build and support skills around several core competencies, including showing empathy, making decisions and connect with others.

I am very excited and happy about a new site from our friends at Capstone that includes wonderful information, resources, exciting book lists and recommendations, materials to share with our students, and so much more.
You will find Capstone's Social Emotional Learning site here
To start, Capstone has created the Social Emotional Guide and Activity Ideas for Educators.  You can download it from the site above.
It is filled with information,
activities and even...
...Recommended Capstone Resources.  I can't wait to share this with my teachers tomorrow.
At the bottom of the site,  you will find even more!
First, there is the coolest SEL Infographic that Capstone created. I printed this on heavy cardstock for every teacher to hang up in their classrooms.  This will provoke such important conversations and awareness with our students and school community.  I also posted it on our school and library social media sites and the school website.

Next up, are a whole bunch of super helpful, meaningful and fun SEL Activities that will help all librarians, teachers, administrators and others bring social and emotional learning to all communities and homes. These activities are focused around...
...Self-Awareness,
Self-Management,
Responsible Decision-Making,
Relationship Skills, and...
...Social Awareness.
And last, but not least, is a link to our Favorite SEL Picture Books.

I hope you enjoy Capstone's SEL site, friends.  There is definitely something for everyone.
