Celebrate Media Literacy This Week With These Choice Boards Including PebbleGo, eBooks, Common Sense Media, BreakoutEDU & More!

This week we celebrate Media Literacy Week from October 25-29, 2021.
As shared on the Media Literacy Week site

Inspired by Canada’s Media Literacy Week, the annual U.S. Media Literacy Week is hosted by the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE). The mission is to highlight the power of media literacy education and its essential role in education all across the country. U.S. Media Literacy Week calls attention to media literacy education by bringing together hundreds of partners for events and activities around the country.

To celebrate this special week with our school community, I put together a new choice board with lots of different resources to teach our students and teachers more about media literacy, and to give them a place to reflect on and practice different media literacy skills.
In the choice board, I made two different grade levels....one for TK-2nd grade and...
... one for 3rd-6th grade.
I included the PebbleGo article Media and My Health on the TK-2nd grade choice board, along with a Media Literacy series of eBooks from Capstone.

In addition to the Capstone eBooks on the 3rd-6th grade choice board, I also included two digital Breakout EDU's and the Digital Passport game from Common Sense Education

You can make a copy of the Let's Celebrate Media Literacy Week here. After you make a copy, you can add links to the resources or change things up to add the ones that you do have.
And remember, all you have to do to share it with your students is Publish to the Web as shown in the image above.

Have a great week celebrating Media Literacy Week with your students and teachers, friends.
