We are having so much fun celebrating the season with projects around the Macy's Day Parade.
In our TK and kindergarten classrooms, our students learned about the Macy's Day Parade and then created their own paper balloons that rode on top of an
Ozobot robot along their parade route. It was so much fun!
To kick off this project, they learned all about the Macy's Day Parade, with this choice board.
We will be using the Learn About the Macy's Day Parade Choice Board to share the amazing Macy's Day Parade site, including the parade lineup; history of the Macy's Day Parade; videos on how to learn the Macy's Day Parade is created; and our favorite book about the parade, Balloons Over Broadway.
Feel free to share it with your students too.
They also visited the Macy's Day Parade headquarters with virtual VR field trips I added to a Google Slide presentation choice board.
We put the presentation up on the board in front of their classroom and we also create a little poster to print off. This will make it easy for them to scan the QR code with their device.

Even though we used Ozobot robots for our parade, you can use little toy cars or anything with wheels for a parade at school or even at home too. That was the idea from one of our kindergarteners last week. 😊
They created their balloons on white paper and cut around the shape. We took a pipe cleaner and created a little "L" to take to the back of the balloon and on the top of the Ozobot.

They had such a fun time and can't wait for the next adventure with the Ozobots.
