Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month With These Amazing Resources From Our Friends At Capstone

We observe Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Over the weekend, I put together the Let's Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Choice Board which is filled with learning, reading, researching, a little craft with music, and a virtual tour of an exhibit featuring Hispanic artifacts.  You will find this choice board to share with your students and teachers in this post

Today, I was so excited to see a very special site that our friends at Capstone put together to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month too!
As they shared on the site,

Join us in celebrating the Hispanic and Latinx community! We’re spotlighting essays from Capstone authors Alicia Salazar and Alex Sanchez about growing up Mexican American and straddling two cultures. We're also highlighting a few activities and book recommendations for students. Plus, as a bonus we have Camila the Star bookmarks to print and share with readers!
I loved reading the special essays from Alicia Salazar, What Camila Means To Me As A Bicultural POC and...
...Alex Sanchez, Hispanic Heritage: An Idea Worth Celebrating.
The site also includes three terrific Educator Resources and Downloadables including Camila the Star Bookmarks,
a Recipe for Hojarascar which is something Camila baked in her books, and a Word Search.  These will be so fun to share with our students and teachers, and also our families.
At the bottom of the site, you can also find a terrific list of Books To Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.  I added a few of these to our upcoming You've Been Book'd list and will display them in our library.

You will find the Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month site from Capstone here, friends.
