Introducing Our New Future Ready Librarian® Advisors

I have the honor of working with Future Ready Schools® and Follett Learning as the Future Ready Librarians® spokesperson.  The best part of this is connecting with librarians and educators from around the country and around the world, and sharing my work and story as the District Teacher Librarian of Van Meter Community School in Iowa.  I am inspired every day by all of the amazing things librarians are doing to make a difference in young peoples lives and school communities.  It inspires me to be the best librarian I can be.

Future Ready Librarians are such an important part of Future Ready Schools and schools around the nation.  The work my partner, Mark Ray, and I do wouldn't happen without all of you.  To grow this work, we have brought together a wonderful new advisory team for Future Ready Librarians, who are part of the Future Ready advisory team.

As shared on the site,

The Future Ready advisory team is an amazing group of educators and administrators who have “been there, done that” when it comes to implementing innovative practices in their districts and schools and using the FRS tools and resources to guide their planning efforts. This diverse group of educators is integrally involved in all aspects of FRS programming including developing institute and workshop agendas; creating papers and/or policy guides; facilitating webinars and events; promoting the Network; and supporting long-term goal and vision setting.

FRS is extremely grateful to its fantastic advisory team! Each member provides honest, thorough, and grounded feedback that results in a powerful suite of research-informed, practitioner-approved offerings from which the FRS Network benefits consistently.

We would love to welcome our new advisory members to our team and can't wait for the conversations and continued work for Future Ready Librarians. You will find our twelve advisory members here.
