Unsplash, Pixabay, Pics4Learning & More Places To Find Copyright Free Images!

As I put together new Collections for our community at Van Meter School, I got super excited about this special Collection by Destiny for copyright free images.  There are so many amazing choices that I just can't even wait to share with our school community.

Let me show you a couple of my favorites!
Pixabay is one of my favorites for finding not only images, like photos and illustrations, but videos too.
In fact, Pixabay was one of the AASL Best Websites in 2017.

Pixabay offers over 1 million images that are free of copyright restrictions for use. By clicking on SafeSearch on the right hand side as shown in this screen shot, Pixabay is appropriate for all grade levels. It is available as an app and a Chrome extension.
One that is fairly new to me that I am also in love with is Unsplash. My friend Kristen Mattson introduced me to Unsplash at our recent Future Ready Librarian Summit before ISTE.
As stated on their site,

Unsplash provides over 550,000 free (do-whatever-you-want) high-resolution photos brought to you by the world’s most generous community of photographers.
One thing that I really LOVE about Unsplash is that there is an Add-On within Google Slides.  I love using these as I am creating presentations to find beautiful images to use in a snap.
I put Pixabay, Unsplash and a few more into a public Collection by Destiny that you are welcome to use and share.

Now, you tell me.

Where do you and your students like to go to find images?  Please tell us and I will add them to the Collection too!
