I am excited to share what I set up for our students in Book Creator for summer reading, learning, creating and more.
It was so much fun sharing this with our students as they went on summer break. The excitement in their faces said it all! They LOVE Book Creator and can't wait to dive into the special Book Creator Summer Library I created for them.
Let me show you what I did, friends.
First, I created a QR code to their Book Creator student login.
This is super easy to do and you can find it under your profile in the right hand corner of Book Creator. Once you click on Student Logins, it will give you the option to distribute QR badges or login links to your students. This will give them what they need to get into Book Creator this summer.
Next, I created a new library in Book Creator called Book Creator Summer Library for the Van Meter Readers.
I added books from the Bright Ideas Hub from Book Creator.
In the Bright Ideas Hub, you will find all of these amazing Summer Resources for Students.
They’re packed with fun, creative activities to keep student minds growing all summer long! These are the resources I added to my new library for our students.
you will find 4 awesome books to use and share with your students.
Reading Journals to prevent summer slide with engaging reading journal and resources.
Art Projects to spark creativity this summer with engaging digital art books for grades K-5.
STEM Books to keep young minds engaged with exciting STEM challenges that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
And Monthly Journals that keep summer days engaging, rain or shine, with fun and interactive monthly journals for May, June, July and August.
I went to Create a new library, and created one called Book Creator Summer Library for the Van Meter Readers.
I then went to all of the books in the Resources for Students, found the ones I wanted to add to my new Library,
Remixed the Books, and...
...copied to the Book Creator Summer Library for the Van Meter Readers.
Once all of the books were in the summer library, I assigned each...
It then gives you a code that you can share with your students so they can copy and create books in the library.
I just wrote this code on the back of the QR code we handed out to the students.
I can't wait to see what our students create this summer. I will be creating and having fun with these books in Book Creator too.
You can use the code SHANNON at the checkout when upgrading and get 1 month of premium FREE.
Book Creator brings so much joy to our classrooms, libraries and communities. I am excited to see what your students create too.
