I have been working on a very special new initiative with my friends at Level Up Village.  It's called LUV for Libraries. I would love to share a personal invitation with all of you to join us for the Pilot Program: We are Digital Explorers.

We would like to invite you to participate in an innovative new program from Level Up Village, LUV for Libraries. In partnership with best-selling author and teacher librarian, Shannon McClintock Miller, LUV for Libraries provides an engaging experience that will transform your library into a hub of creativity, collaboration, and meaningful connections.  

Pilot Program: We are Digital Explorers 

During this four-week program, your students will be matched with a partner class from around the country for a virtual collaborative learning experience. This four-week program, based on Shannon’s best-selling book, Sonia’s Digital World, celebrates what it means to be a digital explorer in the community and throughout the world. Students build on their literacy skills and collaborate with their peers to learn about and discuss the importance of digital literacy through books, conversations, and an interactive digital activity. Through hands-on participation, students will create a community mural and exchange videos with their partners to share how they use technology in their everyday lives.

We hope you will join us in our mission to encourage creativity, facilitate collaboration, and promote a deeper understanding of the world in which we live. All participating schools will receive a signed copy of Shannon’s book, Sonia’s Digital World, in addition to a live (virtual) training provided by Shannon and the LUV for Libraries team.
