On March 2 is one of the most celebrated reading days of year. It is NEA's Read Across American Day and this year we are celebrating it's 20th Anniversary.
As their site states,
The National Education Association is building a nation of readers through its signature program, NEA’s Read Across America. Now in its 20th year, this year-round program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources.
On the site, you will find everything you need to participate and lots of things to use throughout the year.
There are media kits, graphics, information, and the Read Across American 2017 Classroom Activity Guide is a wonderful place to go as you plan your event. It is filled with terrific ideas and resources.
And don't forget to Take The Read Across Pledge with your students and teachers on this very special day. You can go here to register your event and pledge too.
Have the best Read Across America Day friends....and thank you NEA for bringing us this special day for 20 years!
