Unruly Splats! Bringing Movement To STEM & More!

One of the coolest things I learned about at the FETC Conference in Miami last week was Unruly Splats!

I couldn't wait to check this out as I walked by this giant sign in their booth that said, Bring Movement To STEM!
I especially wanted to know more about the Unruly Splats that covered the floor and the brightly color iPad app that...
...allows students to code the Splats.

After talking with the wonderful people from Unruly Splat, I looked up this YouTube video on the way to my next session to learn more!

It was so fun to watch this amazing....
...programmable STEM learning tool that lights up, makes sounds and senses when they are stomped on, according to their site.

And as they share, Students code Splats with our block coding app on a Chromebook or tablet to create their own games and play them with classmates.
This infographic they share shows how the Unruly Splats tie into various parts of the curriculum like PE, STEM, Makerspaces, classrooms and more, while supporting design thinking, encouraging collaborating and inspiring students to create and play games.
Not only will they bring so many wonderful and fun experiences to your students and school communities, they will be able to create dozens of games such as relay races, music games, math games, game show buzzers, whack-a-mole and more.

You can read more about Unruly Splats and inquire about how to order them for your school here.

I can't wait to learn more about this new technology and bring it to our students at Van Meter.  When we get ours, I will be sharing the story and how we use them on my blog.
