When we were on vacation in San Francisco, Eric's Aunt Elaine gave Hagan and I these super cool glasses she picked up for the eclipse which will take place on August 21, 2017.
As I looked closer, I was excited to see they were from Google!
In fact, Google is planning something very special for the total eclipse. It is called the Eclipse Megamovie 2017 and is sponsored by Google and Berkeley University of California.

One of the coolest things on the site is the
Simulator.
You enter the place you want to look up and it will locate it according to Google Maps. The Simulator will tell you the timing of the eclipse in that specific location.
Hagan and I looked up our house in West Des Moines, Iowa to see what time we could see the eclipse and...
...at our Denver, Colorado house too.
It is really cool to look up a few of the locations that will have a total eclipse too.

We are celebrating by GOING to see totality! Somewhere in TN. I am missing teacher prep days and the first two days of school, but my husband insists it's a once in a lifetime experience. (And I don't even remind him that we did this already in Baja California, so this is technically twice in a lifetime!) It really is an amazing experience!
