Our second grade friends, along with their teacher librarian Kim James and teachers Staci Braun, Tracy Ferguson and Megan Warwick, joined us from Van Meter, Iowa.
It was so much fun hearing about Emily's passion for music.
She shared her story and sang several songs with the second graders, including a little sneak peak into a very special project with Cantata Learning and me.
The second graders asked lots of interesting questions. We all learned a lot.
Since we were broadcasting this LIVE through Google Hangout, friends from around the world were able to tune in too.
First, Karyn Lewis from Katy, Texas popped in with her seventh graders. I know that they are big Emily Arrow friends and loved being able to connect with us today.
And Michelle Griffith in Lake Jackson, Texas joined us with her first graders.
They were able to ask Emily a question through Twitter.
That meant a lot to Michelle's students and all of us.
Thank you Emily for joining us and telling us about your job in the community. We can't wait to hear and see what you do next!

Next week we are excited to welcome Nick Hobson in Boulder, Colorado as he talks about bikes and on October 24 we will be connecting with my brother Ryan McClintock on his farm in Shellsburg, Iowa.
You can register for these two here.
Check out Emily Arrow and all of the songs she sings on her YouTube Channel.
