"Save The Date" For LitWorld's World Read Aloud Day On February 24, 2016

Opening up the LitWorld newsletter today was the best!  Inside was a little Save The Date reminder for a very special day we all love to celebrate each year.

On February 24, 2016, we will celebrate World Read Aloud Day with our dear friends at LitWorld and so many all around the world.

This is the day (and week) that we lift up literacy, reading, books, and all things that revolve around these beautiful things.

We have read our favorite books, created our own books, Skyped with other classes around the world, invited authors and illustrators into our spaces using technology, held family reading nights, volunteered at the public library, and read aloud in so many different ways.

On the LitWorld site for World Read Aloud Day, you can sign up to participate in World Read Aloud Day 2016 too.  Even though it is months away, this will be an easy way to be reminded of this event as it gets closer....and to get you thinking about how you might celebrate WRAD too.
