Week 4 In The Future Ready Librarian Collection Series...Designs Collaborative Spaces Collection!

     

In January, I kicked off a new series of Collections by Destiny for all 10 of the Future Ready Librarians wedges.  

Each Friday, I am creating a special Collection for each one of the 10 wedges within the Future Ready Librarian framework for my Shannon's Favorite Finds that I share for #FavoriteFindsFriday. 

The 10 Future Ready Librarian Collections are filled with resources such as the FRL webinars, organizations, articles, Follett case studies, helpful tips, online communities for librarians, tools, and much more.  

Today, for Week 4, I have the Designs Collaborative Spaces Collection.

Brightly... A Super Cool Site That Helps Us Raise Kids Who Love To Read!

Celebrate Black History Month With Storyline Online & These 6 Video Stories!

As we kick off Black History Month and gather wonderful resources for our students, I have a special one to share with you. 

Storyline Online has six special videos just for Black History Month on their site.  You will find these featured at the top of the home page here.  

If you haven't been to Storyline Online, this is from their site...

I would share Storyline Online with my students and school community in a variety of ways.  We would watch the stories together as a big group in the library and classrooms; small groups would watch them for projects and assignments; and students would love to visit these individually when looking for something to listen to during their personal reading time.  

I would also send a link home to Storyline Online with my students so families could listen to the stories together.  I created a little card with a QR code and the link.  I put it on our library Symbaloo too.  You could also add it to your library Collection by Destiny for students to find online.
